How to Work
PSI Modular Nitrogen Generator adopts the principle of pressure swing adsorption to continuously produce nitrogen from clean, dry compressed air.
The dual chamber extruded aviation aluminum are filled with Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS) and connected through upper and manifold, then the high density filled columns form a dual bed system.
Clean, dry compressed air enters the bottom of the "on-line" bed through the air inlet, and then flows upward through the carbon molecular sieve. Oxygen and other trace gases in the compressed air are preferentially adsorbed, but the remaining nitrogen enters the buffer tank through the support bed.
The control system automatically switches beds if preset the time. One bed is always generating nitrogen online while the other bed is being regenerated. During the regeneration process, the oxygen collected by the carbon molecular sieve is released into the atmosphere. A small portion of the outlet nitrogen expands into the bed to accelerate the regeneration process.
